The woman recognizes Jennika as a Ninja Turtle, but isn't sure exactly who she is. Unable to rest, Jennika goes out for a late patrol and comes across a well-dressed mutant banging her fists against one of the Mutant Town gates, demanding to be let out. Jennika wakes up screaming in a cold sweat from the nightmare, young Lita's face just below Jenn's blades burned into her mind. Her worries run so deep, in fact, that all she can dream about at night are the bodies of her friends piled on top of one another after being slaughtered by her very own hand.
Jennika is outraged by the mere thought that she could still be that kind of cold-blooded killer somewhere inside herself, but that outrage comes from a place of fear more so than anywhere else. After explaining how she came into possession of the scepter which let her travel back, she tells the Turtles that she's come back to try and prevent the horrific future she's lived through.
But if Rocksteady and Bebop win, they get the whole music club and can play every night.Lita, the white turtle mutant that the Splinter Clan has taken in, returns from decades in the future, all grown up and shaken to her core. If Jennika's band wins, Rocksteady and Bebop must leave and never come back. With no experience of time travel and her concerns about Lita brushed aside, Jennika is resistant to the time-traveler's message, but that all changes when Rocksteady and Bebop enter the picture. After crashing Mutant Town's underground music club, the two villain refuse to leave and want to make it their own, so Lita challenges them to a battle of the bands, and the music-loving Jennika rises to the challenge. Lita's arrival may be an attempt to save the turtles, but it also destroys the progress Jennika has made in feeling like part of the Splinter Clan. Related: TMNT Last Ronin Teases The Death of Donatello In Lita's timeline, the Splinter and Foot Clans begin battling over the city, and after a successful attack against the turtles' dojo, the Splinter Clan dissolves. Raphael sells his ninja skills as a mercenary for hire, Donatello becomes a war-cyborg, Michelangelo exposes the secrets of the clan as a journalist, and Leonardo just up and disappears. And the conflict that has risen as a result of this has been quite substantial. Currently, the entire human population of a massive portion of New York City are mutants thanks to Old Hob's mutagen bomb, which heralded the creation of Mutant Town.
It's understandable why Jennika originally decided other matters took precedence in the future. And although she doesn't know for sure what will make things right, she knows that everything went to hell when the fifth turtle and former human Jennika gave up on her dream of forming a metal band. The four shinobi brothers learn of their fate when a turtle named Lita Ford travels back in time to prevent horrible events in her world from transpiring in the present. The future looks bleak for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and if they want to have any hope of staying together, they had better start rocking out hard.
